Iraq reports new COVID-19 fatality, 47 infections

BAGHDAD, April 10 (KUNA) -- Iraq's Ministry of Health has confirmed a new coronavirus fatality, raising the death toll up to 70.
In a press statement on Friday, the ministry also noted that 47 people have tested positive for the deadly virus in the past 24 hours, taking the aggregate number of infections across the country, including Kurdistan region, up to 1,279.
It added that the number of recovered patients have surged by 54 to hit 550. (end) ahh.ibi
