Britain suffers 938 coronavirus deaths in one day

LONDON, April 8 (KUNA) -- Britain's department of health said 938 people died of coronavirus in the past 24 hours to increase total fatalities to 7,097.
The department said in a statement 5,491 people tested positive for the virus to raise total infections to 60,733.
It noted medical teams tested more than 282,000 persons.
Meanwhile, 10 Downing St. said Prime Minister Boris Johnson was in a stable condition after spending his third night in the intensive care unit due to coronavirus.
Johnson was admitted to St. Thomas' Hospital last Sunday 10 days after persistent symptoms of the virus. He was deputized by Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab. (end) kd.bs
