Seoul reports 47 more virus cases, total now at 10,331

TOKYO, April 7 (KUNA) -- South Korea reported 47 new cases of the novel coronavirus Tuesday, bringing the nation's total infections to 10,331, according to Yonhap News Agency.
The nation's death toll from the coronavirus, which emerged in China late last year, rose by six to 192, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, the country's two worst-affected regions, reported 13 and one new cases, respectively, while Seoul saw four additional cases, the public health agency said.
The health ministry said this week's lower daily number is "positive," but warned that lax attitudes on social distancing could put the nation at risk of new cluster infections.
The government will take stricter actions against entertainment venues if they violate guidelines on social distancing, according to the ministry.
It also plans to ease telecommunication rules to allow churchgoers to worship inside their cars at parking lots of religious facilities via shortwave radio sets. (end) mk.gta
