PARIS, April 5 (KUNA) -- French Ministry of Health said Sunday coronavirus cases have jumped to 92,839 while deaths to 8,078.
The ministry said in a statement 2,886 people tested positive for the virus alongside 518 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Director-General for Health Jerome Salomon said in a press conference 2,189 people from the elderly housing center have passed away since beginning of March, and 5,889 others died in hospitals.
France is in complete lockdown due to the spread of the virus. Only workers in food stores and medical workers are allowed to move.
Any person leaving the house should have an official permission to be out or this person will pay a hefty fine. (end)
