Coronavirus pandemic different than past challenges - Queen Elizabeth II

LONDON, April 5 (KUNA) -- Queen Elizabeth II said Sunday Britain faced many challenges in the past but the coronavirus pandemic was something different.
Britain is joining other nations around the world for a common purpose and with a reliance on science in order to overcome this ordeal, Queen Elizabeth II said in a speech to the nation.
She said if people were united the country will defeat this pandemic.
The Queen urged all people to abide by the government's instructions in order to stop the spread of the virus thus minimize the victims.
This is Queen Elizabeth II's 5th speech to the national during her 68-year-old reign. The last, according to the BBC, was in 2012 to mark her 60th anniversary in office.
The speech came few hours after the Department of Health announced that total deaths of the virus climbed to 4,934 and infections at 47,806. (end) mrn.bs
