LONDON, April 5 (KUNA) -- British Health Department said Sunday 621 people died of coronavirus in the past 24 hours to increase total fatalities to 4,934 persons.
It added in a statement 5,903 people tested positive for the virus to increase number of patients to 47,806. It said it had so far carried out 195,524 tests.
The British government has urged people to stay indoors and only leave when it is necessary with the objective of preventing collapse of the health system, already strained with the huge number of coronavirus patients.
Last Friday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Health Secretary Matt Hancok tested positive for the coronavirus, two days after Prince Charles was announced sick with the virus. (end)
