BERLIN, April 5 (KUNA) -- The German city of Berlin said Sunday it received a million masks and 300 protection suits from China to be used by medical workers and paramedics to deal with coronavirus cases.
The shipment arrived on Saturday in the city of Liepzig and will be distributed to hospitals, elderly houses and police forces to help them deal with people amidst a rise in cases, the government of Berlin said in a statement.
Germany reported coronavirus cases rose by 6,000 on Sunday compared to Saturday, bringing total number of infections to 91,714.
According to Robert Koch Institute, the official apparatus responsible for counting and publicizing tallies of the contagion, said number of deaths resulting from the pandemic reached 1,342. (end)
