Coronavirus infections surge to 919 in Morocco - Health Min.

RABAT, April 5 (KUNA) -- The Moroccan health ministry confirmed 75 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 919.
In a statement, the ministry noted that the total number of recoveries reached 66, while death cases surged to 59.
Meanwhile, the director of epidemiology department at the ministry said during the daily press briefing that 80 percent of the cases recorded related to people within same families.
He stressed the need to adhere by the preventive measures, especially self-isolation, to avoid transmission of infection, adding that the coming days will be crucial for the development of the virus. (end) mry.aa
