Coronavirus death toll in France exceeds 7,560

PARIS, April 4 (KUNA) -- French Ministry of Health announced on Saturday number of people who have fallen sick due to coronavirus climbed to 89,953 and the death toll exceeded 7,560.
The ministry said in a statement whole number of infections rose after registering 7,788 contamination cases and 1,053 mortalities over the past 24 hours, adding that critical cases climbed to some 6,662.
Meanwhile, French Minister of Defense Florence Parly affirmed that authorities would spare no effort to stem spread of the virus.
Although there have been some infection cases among the French forces, the nation military status will not be affected, she said.
France is currently in total lockdown due to the mushrooming of the germ, with exemptions for permited workers in key sectors. (end) mjz.rk
