ABU DHABI, April 4 (KUNA) -- The United Arab Emirates announced on Saturday a new death case related to the novel coronavirus thus overall number of fatalities caused by the contagion climbed to 10.
The UAE Ministry of Health said in a statement 241 infection cases were recorded, raising the whole number of the persons contaminated with the infectious disease to 1,505.
It put number of new patients who recovered at 17 and the total figure of people who were cured of the ailment to 125. Those who were healed had undergone treatment at hospitals.
It identified the demised as a 51-year-old Arab who passed away due to health complications caused by the virus.
The ministry indicated that the group of the infected people had been close to infected persons of diverse nationalities, adding condition of all of them was stable.
The department attributed the increase of ailment cases to failure to adhere to protective and precautions measures, social distance and quarantining, in addition to those "related to travel" -- expressing condolences to families of the deceased and wished recovery for the ill. (end)
