G20 trade ministers: COVID-19 requires coordinated response

RIYADH, March 30 (KUNA) -- The G20 Trade and Investment Ministers and the guest countries affirmed that the coronavirus pandemic is a global challenge that requires a coordinated response to confront this common threat.
This came in a statement after the extraordinary meeting held by the Trade and Investment Ministers G20 Monday, with the aim of assessing the impact of the COVID-19 virus pandemic on trade and investment.
The ministers stressed that the time has come for the international community to work more than ever to double coordination and cooperation to protect human life and laying the foundations for a strong economic recovery, for a sustainable, balanced and comprehensive growth after this crisis.
"We are actively working to ensure the continued flow of vital medical supplies and equipment, critical agricultural products, and other essential goods and services across borders, for supporting the health of our citizens," said the statement. (end) mdm.aa
