MADRID, March 29 (KUNA) -- Spain's coronavirus deaths surged to 6,613 people while number of registered infections reached 78,873, the Ministry of Health announced Sunday.
State TV quoted a ministry sources as saying 3,082 people died in Madrid only.
They said 14,709 people recovered so far, leaving number of actual infectees to only 57,551.
Spain is in a state of emergency that extends until April 11, during which a curfew is in place unless people need to buy food, medicine or helping elderly. (end)
