Qatar announces 1st death due to coronavirus

DOHA, March 28 (KUNA) -- The first death, due to the global-spreading coronavirus (COVID-19), was announced in Qatar Saturday of a 57-year-old Bangladeshi national, said the Health Ministry.
A statement by the Ministry indicated that the patient was put into ICU on March 16 and was provided with necessary medical care since hospital admission; however, he did not overcome the disease.
According to the statement, there 58 new cases of the coronavirus in the country, hiking the number to 590 cases. On the upside, two Qatari nationals recovered adding to the total of recoveries, which stands at 45. (end) nnd.gta
