KUWAIT, March 28 (KUNA) -- Health authorities in Iraq, Spain and Mauretania updated their numbers on the evolving situations due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) on Saturday.
In Iraq, the health ministry recorded 2 deaths and 48 infections due to the coronavirus.
The ministry noted in a statement that the death toll reached 42, while the infections jumped to 506, noting that nine patients have recovered from the disease.
Meanwhile, the Spanish health authorities confirmed 832 new deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 5,690.
According to date published by the ministry on its website, the total number of infections climbed to 72,248 after registering 8,189 new cases, while the 12,285 patients have recovered from the virus.
In Mauretania, the health minister Dr. Mohammad Hamed affirmed two new infections to reach five cases in the country so far. (Pickup previous)
