Kuwait Amir instructs backing to Iraq over COVID-19 - FM

KUWAIT, March 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah on Tuesday called his Iraqi counterpart Mohammad Ali Al-Hakim to mull the current regional happenings and Coronavirus ramifications.
The Kuwaiti minister, during the contact, quoted His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as having directed providing aid to Iraq in its efforts to contain coronavirus through the World Health Organization (WHO) and its specialized agencies.
On his part, the Iraqi foreign minister expressed his country's thanks and appreciation for Kuwait's humanitarian initiative. (end) mt
