17 Palestinians wounded in clashes with Israeli troops

RAMALLAH, March 11 (KUNA) -- Palestinian activists and Israeli troops clashed in the town of Beta south of Nablus on Wednesday.
Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that 17 Palestinians were wounded with live ammunition, robber-coated bullets and tear gas during the clashes that erupted when settlers stormed Jabal Al-Arma in the town.
A 17-year-old Palestinian was hit in the head with live bullets and his condition was pronounced as critical, it said.
Residents of Beta and nearby villages marched last night to Jabal Al-Arma to resist settlers who burst into the high ground.
Israeli troops in jeeps hurried to aid the settlers during the violence. (end) nq.rk
