BAGHDAD, Feb 28 (KUNA) -- Iraq reported a new confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) case, bringing the country's total number of confirmed cases up to eight, Iraq's ministry of health and environment said Friday.
Iraq news agency quoted a statement by Health Director General Jassib Latif as saying the new case belongs to a woman, 35yrs, who returned from Iran recently.
The statement noted authorities are monitoring the patient after she was put in quarantine.
Last night, Iraq reported a confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) case that belong to a young man who came from Turkey and then Iran. (end)
