1904 -- Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah, the seventh ruler of Kuwait, approves establishing a British post office in Kuwait.
1957 -- Kuwait conducts the first census ever, estimating its population at 206,473.
1972 -- Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah opens a central wireless communication facility.
1979 -- Kuwait carries out the first kidney transplant operation ever in the Gulf region.
1991 -- Iraq signs all UN resolutions pertinent to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, ordering its soldiers to stop fighting.
1991 -- Kuwait Radio resumes transmission following liberation from the heinous Iraqi occupation.
2004 -- Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa awards Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah the kingdom's highest medal.
2010 -- Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issues a decree regarding the rights of disabled persons and children of Kuwaiti wives of non-Kuwaiti husbands, including medical care, education and jobs.
