Bahrain extends suspension of flights from Dubai, Sharjah airports

MANAMA, Feb. 26 (KUNA) -- Bahrain's Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA) has extended the suspension of all flights arriving from Dubai International Airport and Sharjah International Airport for an additional 48 hours.
In a press statement, the CAA announced that it has reduced the number of incoming regional flights, noting this decision has been taken in order to safeguard the health of the Kingdom's citizens and residents.
The CAA affirmed that it is cooperating with all relevant authorities to take the necessary measures to contain and combat the spread of COVID-19.
It stressed the need to adhere to established international health guidelines administered by the Ministry of Health in order to combat COVID-19. (end) hmd.rg.ibi
