This policy has earned Kuwait the title of a Humanitarian Center and its Amir a Humanitarian Leader, he boasted, noting that Kuwait has always been seeking to be in the forefront of supporters of UN bodies.
In Brussels, Kuwait's Ambassador to Belgium, the European Union and NATO, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, Tuesday evening hosted a reception to mark Kuwait's 59th National Day and 29th Liberation Day.

"Kuwait and the European Union share a unique and close partnership based on mutual respect and alignment on most international and regional issues," he said.
"Kuwait is also blessed to have an outstandingly strong relationship with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. This partnership has been steadily growing for years and has led to the creation of a NATO-ICI Regional Center in Kuwait-the first of its kind in a non-NATO partner country," he added.
On his part, Raoul Delcorde, Director of the Middle East and North Africa at the Belgian foreign ministry told KUNA that "relations between Kuwait and Belgium are excellent both politically and economically." "We are very happy about the exchanges at every level not just political but trade and education," he said and noted that Belgium and Kuwait held last year their first joint economic committee meeting "which went very well." "I admire the Kuwaiti ambassador here, who is hosting this beautiful reception, to bring the two countries even closer," he added.
During the reception, a Kuwaiti musical band entertained the guests with traditional Kuwaiti music.
