Bahrain reports 3 new coronavirus cases

MANAMA, Feb 26 (KUNA) -- The Bahraini Ministry of Health on Wednesday reported three new Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the kingdom's total number of confirmed infection cases up to 26.
The new cases are Bahraini women who arrived at Bahrain International Airport on indirect flights from Iran, the ministry said in a statement carried by Bahrain's official news agency.
Tests were conducted for those who had close contacts with the infection cases as a precautionary measure, it added.
Bahrain on Tuesday decided to shut down all public and private schools as a precaution to fight the novel coronavirus outbreak.
The decision, which is part of the Kingdom's efforts to contain the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), came after health authorities reported six new cases. (end) hmd.mt
