Kuwait Amir instructs new ministers to meet needs of citizens, implement law

KUWAIT, Feb 16 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Sunday stressed that the newly-appointed ministers, who have been sworn in before him, must implement the laws and the State's systems, and meet needs of citizens.
Addressing the newly-appointed ministers, His Highness the Amir said, "We hope that you, ministers, will pay much attention to your work, execute laws completely and be cooperative with each other".
Addressing His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Prime Minister said Maryam Al-Aqil received the Ministry of Finance and made a huge effort, and will have another responsibility at the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Affairs which has the development plans.
"Barrak Al-Shitan is well acquainted with the nature of the Ministry of Finance, and will, in implementation of Your Highness's instructions, work on protecting the public fund and expenditure rationalization," His Highness the Prime Minister went to say. In addition, His Highness the Prime Minister noted, "Mohammad Bushehri has served as an engineer at the Ministry of Electricity and Water, and was promoted to undersecretary. He knows the ministry's nature and the needs of water and electricity in summer". "In implementation of Your Highness' directives, all the Cabinet's ministers will work to materialize these directives," His Highness the Premier said.
His Highness the Amir hoped for a better tomorrow for the country. Earlier in the day, His Highness the Amir received at Dar Salwa on Sunday evening the newly-appointed ministers for an oath-taking ceremony in the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
