KFAS launches first robotics, artificial intelligence festival

KUWAIT, Feb 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) organized the first robotics and artificial intelligence festival under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, which witnessed a great turnout by school students and people.
The Foundation added in a press statement on Sunday that the number of visitors to the festival has reached 7,000, as the festival presented a new way to interact with the scientific material using arts and drama.
It emphasized that the festival, which is organized in cooperation with the educational institution "A Thousand Invention and Invention" based in the United Kingdom, aims to increase public interest in robotics and artificial intelligence and its applications and to increase participation by young people to help them develop their skills to be active and influential individuals.
It mentioned that the festival also aimed at spreading the scientific culture about robots and artificial intelligence, supporting the future vision of transforming Kuwait into a global commercial, financial and technological center.
The festival drew attention to the visitors experience with some of the most famous robots in the world and their interaction on stage with actors from Kuwait to simplify basic ideas about the science of robots and artificial intelligence.
KFAS opened the "Robotics and Artificial Intelligence" festival on the ninth of February and will continue until the 14 of February. (end) ss.kda.gaa
