Kuwait bourse benchmark drops at start of week's trades

KUWAIT, Feb 16 (KUNA) -- Boursa Kuwait kicked off the new week trades on Sunday with the benchmark shedding 35.7 points dropping to the level of 6,173.5 points, by 0.58 percent.
Trade volume of the benchmark (All Share Market Index) amounted to 209.5 million stocks, done in 6,665 spot deals, valued at KD 27.8 million (USD 94.5 million).
Premier Market Index also moved down, losing 9.5 points to the level of 6,849.4 points, by 0.71 percent, with a stock volume amounting to 41.3 million, in 2,643 transactions, valued at KD 22.5 million (approximately USD 76.5 million).
The Kuwaiti bourse is currently implementing the first step of the third phase of overhauling the market, inaugurating improvised investment tools, namely feasible reality funds. (end) mke.rk
