ABU DHABI, Jan 29 (KUNA) -- The United Arab Emirates confirmed on Wednesday the first coronavirus case in a family who just arrived in Abu Dhabi from China's central city of Wuhan.
Those family members were in stable condition and under medical observation, According to UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention carried by Emirates News Agency (WAM).
The Ministry with the cooperation of all health institutions are taking all medical measurers to limit the spread of coronavirus, and they are ready to report about any infected cases, the statement added.
Pointing out that the coronavirus first appeared late last year at a seafood market in central China's Wuhan city, which was selling wild animals illegally.
The virus spreaded to other cities including Beijing and Shanghai, in addition to the United States, Thailand, South Korea and Japan.
Since its discovery in the city of Wuhan, more than 106 people died of coronavirus and 4,515 others infected, Chinese government said.(end)
