KUNA chief lauds achievements of His Highness Amir on 14th anniversary

KUWAIT, Jan 28 (KUNA) -- Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Sabah lauded Tuesday His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's achievements.
His Highness the Amir has many accomplishments during his career, which witnessed laying the foundations of the state in the early 1950s and building its institutions, Sheikh Mubarak said in a press statement.
On the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the ascendency of His Highness the Amir which falls tomorrow, Wednesday, Sheikh Mubarak said His Highness the Amir started his political work since his youth and participated in various political stations that took place in the country and contributed actively to the development of Kuwait.
He added that when His Highness the Amir was named minister of Guidance and Information in the first cabinet, Kuwait was unique in its various media institutions, which had a great influence in the region and when he assumed responsibility for the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Kuwait had an impressive presence, thanks to his wisdom, becoming a pivotal and active country at the regional and international levels.
Sheikh Mubarak pointed out that His Highness the Amir had a strong role in crises in the region, stressing that His Highness the Amir has a distinguished ability to gather conflicting parties at the meeting point and in an area of rapprochement.
He also affirmed that Kuwait history will not forget His Highness the Amir's keenness to uphold the constitutional value and adhere to it and maintain the democratic approach. (end) ss.gaa
