Malaysia raises medical check ups on crossings to prevent Coronavirus

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 28 (KUNA) -- Malaysia's health authorities announced increasing medical check up measures at all crossings to prevent the spread of Coronavirus after confirming four cases in the country.
In a statement on Tuesday, Director General of Health Noor Hisham said Malaysia had set thermal cameras at every entry to detect travelers with fever.
The main focus will be on Johor state in the south, which has six crossings, said Hisham. He added that about 300 to 3,500 Chinese tourists entered the country through one of these crossings in 2019.
Malaysia issued an entry ban on Chinese coming from Wuhan, while Malaysian people are demanding a full ban on all Chinese nationals. (end) aab.ag
