Tunisia, UAE emphasize peaceful solution of Libyan crisis

TUNIS, Jan 27 (KUNA) -- Tunisian President Kais Saied and UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyanon on Monday underlined the need for coordination to help reach a peaceful solution to the Libyan crisis.
In a press statement, the Tunisian presidency noted that the visiting UAE handed the Tunisian president an official invitation to visit the UAE.
It noted that the meeting addressed a number of issues of common interest, including the Libyan crisis, where both sides stressed "the importance of coordination and cooperation between the two countries to find a peaceful solution that puts an end to this crisis and helps stop the bloodshed of the Libyan people.
They discussed "modalities for implementing the results of the last Berlin Conference, including the need for the commitment of the various parties concerned to the ceasefire in the framework of a Libyan political solution". (end) ksj.ibi
