Coalition launches medical air bridge for Yemeni patients

JEDDAH, Jan 27 (KUNA) -- The Saudi-led coalition to back legitimacy in Yemen has announced that it will launch a medical air bridge to evacuate Yemeni patients to Egypt and Jordan for treatment.
"The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition, following the humanitarian initiative announced on (14 May 2018), and in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), will launch the medevac airbridge (Flights of Mercy) from the Republic of Yemen to the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan," reads a statement by the coalition Spokesman Colonel Turki Al-Malki, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
He added that this humanitarian initiative is part of the coalition's humanitarian and relief efforts to help alleviate suffering of people in Yemen. (end) nsa.ibi
