Biden, Sanders leading polls nationally in 2020 Democratic presidential field

WASHINGTON, Jan 26 (KINA) -- Former US Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders are leading the national polls in the Democratic party's presidential nomination.
A Washington Post-ABC News national poll showed Biden at 32 percent while Sanders are 23 percent.
"Among Democrats and Democratic-leaning registered voters, Biden is favored by 32 percent with Sanders at 23 percent," according to the new Post-ABC poll. The Washington Post noted that "in both cases, those percentages are slightly better than what each received in an October Post-ABC national poll." The poll showed that Senator Elizabeth Warren is at 12 percent, a significant drop from 23 percent last October but is "the only other candidate for the Democratic nomination in double digits." Also, 38 percent of respondents view Biden as having the best chance of beating President Donald Trump, while 18 percent say Sanders and only 10 percent say Warren has the best chance. This comes ahead of the Iowa caucuses to be held on February 3rd, which is first votes of the 2020 presidential campaign. (end) si
