Third case of coronavirus confirmed in US

WASHINGTON, Jan 26 (KUNA) -- The United States confirmed Sunday a third case of the novel coronavirus, after a traveler from China tested positive for the disease in Orange County, California.
The Orange County Health Care Agency, which received confirmation of the case in California from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said in a statement, "the individual has now been transported to a local hospital and is in isolation and good condition." Passengers flying into the US from Wuhan are being screened at Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York's John F. Kennedy airports, where last week this expanded to include international airports in Chicago and Atlanta.
Earlier Sunday, China announced that 56 people died and 1,985 others were infected with coronavirus, including 234 cases in critical condition. (end) si.gaa
