White House: US takes all precautions to prevent spread of coronavirus

WASHINGTON, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley on Thursday assured President Donald Trump's Administration has taken necessary precautions to prevent re-emergence of the coronavirus in the US.
"The American people should rest assured that they are safe" he told reporters.
He pointed out that the administration is monitoring this situation in real time.
The president has been briefed about the developments, adding that he remains vigilant in making sure that the virus doesn't spread throughout our country.
"More entities have been sent to airports and we are as usual conducting the same level of coordination at the state level, at the federal level with DHS, DOT and others to ensure the American people's safety," he stated.
He unveiled that the CDC has the lead on monitoring the deadly virus outbreak and they have all of the information.
"The American people should rest assured that we have taken all of the precautions necessary that we would in this situation that we have done in the past, and we will continue to do so," he concluded. (end) asj.aq
