RABAT, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- Means of boosting cooperation mainly in energy was the focus of a meeting held between Kuwait's Minister of Oil, and Minister of Water and Electricity Khaled al-Fadhel, and Moroccan Minister of Energy, Mining and Sustainable Development Aziz Rabbah on Thursday.
The meeting was held during Al-Fadhel's visit to Morocco to partake in the international Exhibition of Petroleum and Gas Products PETROLIA EXPO Morocco.
Speaking to KUNA following the meeting, Rabbah said the gathering covered the advancement of ties between the two sides in all domains of common interest, mainly energy.
This will be done through the activation of cooperation mechanisms and exploring new prospects for joint action, he said, expressing his delight for meeting with Al-Fadhel.
Meanwhile, Al-Fadhel pointed to the deep-rooted ties between Kuwait and Morocco, expressing the depth of partnership under the wise leadership of the two leaders.
He lauded Morocco's efforts in oil and gas exploration, expecting promising future for the country in this field.
He referred to Morocco's strategic location, which enables it to play a key regional and international role mainly in the energy field.
Al-Fadhel attended part of the conference and delivered a speech on alternative and renewable energy, and oil and gas.
He is leading a delegation includes Undersecretary of Oil Ministry Sheikh Nimr Al-Sabah and Kuwait's Ambassador to Morocco Abdullatif Al-Yahya.
The conference brings together energy officials, companies, institutions, experts and businesspersons from several countries including Kuwait. (end) mry.hm
