Kuwait FM meets Somalia education conf. panel chief

KUWAIT, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah Thursday received Dr. Ghanim Al-Najjar, head of the organizing executive committee of an international conference due in Kuwait this year for promoting education in Somalia.
During the encounter, they checked arrangements and preparations for the event and its agenda, in addition to existing coordination between concerned Kuwaiti bodies and international organizations over ongoing world efforts to promote security and stability in Somalia and to alleviate the humanitarian agony of its people.
Assistant Foreign Minister for the Foreign Minister's Office Affairs Ambassador Saleh Salem Al-Loughani, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Protocols Advisor Abdulmohsen Jaber Al-Zaid and several other senior ministry officials attended the meeting. (end) mt
