Sea goers urged to return to land due to heavy winds, authorities warn

KUWAIT, Jan 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Fire Service Directorate warned the public against venturing out to sea on Tuesday evening due to the country being affected by strong winds and a high tide over the coming hours.
Wind speeds are expected to reach more than 60 km/h with tidal heights set to climb above 7 feet, read a statement.
In the event of an emergency, the public were urged to dial the emergency hotline: 112.
In a weather warning on its official website, Kuwait's Meteorological Department also cautioned that visibility in open areas would drop to less than 1km due to rising dust. (end) ays.sd
