TUNIS, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- A team of excellent Kuwaiti female students on Friday visited premises of the Tunisian higher institute for technological studies in the city of Kelibia -- funded by Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED).
Narjas Al-Saghir, the institute director, said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the Kuwaiti fund financed construction and equipment of the institute in 2012.
KAFED will continue with financial allotments to equip the institute until 2021, Al-Saghir said, also noting that number of the registered students peaked to 750.
The institute secretary general, Adel Al-Tunesi, told KUNA that the institute teaches lessons about process engineering and marine engines.
The visit was part of KFAED's 11th trip abroad for Kuwaiti students of special records.
The students, during their presence at the premises, examined teaching halls, libraries, workshops and laboratories.
Student Hawraa Taher told KUNA that the visit to the institute helped her fathom Kuwait's effective aid for other nations.
Asmaa Al-Azmi boasted of her country that helped people of Kleibia. The students also visited the city of Nabeul, namely a potteries factory.
The Kuwaiti delegation, headed by Sherifa Al-Sabah, includes Fatmah Al-Terkeet from KFAED and Amal Al-Gallaf representing the Ministry of Education. Their visit to Tunisia proceeds till January 21. (end) sma.rk
