Swine flu kills 6 people, with 226 cases in Jordan

AMMAN, Dec 19 (KUNA) -- Jordanian Health Minister Saad Jaber announced Thursday that swine flu (H1N1) killed six people, with 226 cases reported.
This was brought up during talks with the Parliamentary Health Committee in Jordan, to discuss developments in the spread of swine flu.
Jaber said that the ministry decided to reduce the prices of the H1N1 flu vaccine from USD 15.5 to USD 7.5 as of today as part of measures aimed at combating the disease, including strengthening emergency departments in hospitals, equipping operating rooms and vaccinating.
According to Jaber, the Ministry of Health declared a state of emergency and the treatment. (end) ab.lr
