MUSCAT, Dec 15 (KUNA) -- The 47th General Assembly session of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) elected Director-General of Oman News Agency (ONA) Dr. Mohammad bin Mubarak Al-Araimi as president of the federation for 2020-2021.
The agenda of the two-day gathering, which kicked off here earlier Sunday, includes discussion of media cooperation and exchanges of news among the member wire services of the FANA and ways to intensify coverage of incidents relating to the holy city of Jerusalem.
The conferees will also review the nominations for the 2019-2020 FANA awards for media excellence, photography and news reports, according to a report by ONA.
KUNA Board Chairman and Director-General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah leads Kuwait delegation to the gathering. (end)
