WASHINGTON, Dec 12 (KUNA) -- US President Donald Trump said Thursday that the US and China are "very close" to reaching a "big" trade deal.
"Getting VERY close to a BIG DEAL with China," Trump tweeted, he added "they want it, and so do we!"
This comes ahead of another round of tariffs the US is set to impose on about USD 156 billion of Chinese goods on December 15.
In October, Trump announced that the two countries had agreed to a "phase one" deal that included agricultural purchases, financial services and intellectual property issues. (end)
