KUWAIT, Dec 10 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable to Nayef Al-Hajraf congratulating him on being appointed the new Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General.
Al-Hajraf "gained the confidence of Their Majesties and Highnesses and Gulf Cooperation Council state leaders by being appointed Secretary-General," read the cable.
The Kuwaiti is a "source of pride for all," the Amir said, wishing him the best success in contributing to strengthen the bonds between the six member countries.
Both His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah expressed similar sentiments in separate cables. (end)
