Kuwait still "optimistic" about Gulf dispute resolution - official

KUWAIT, Dec 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait remains "optimistic" in its bid to support resolving the dispute between Gulf neighbours, Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah said, adding reconciliation efforts are looking "positive." "We are not at all concerned about the environment that is accompanying the efforts to end the dispute, and we are optimistic that this dispute will be something of the past in the near future," the Kuwaiti official said.
Al-Jarallah made the comments to reporters in Kuwait, during his attendance of a Qatar Embassy function held to celebrate the anniversary of the founder of Qatar Sheikh Jasim bin Thani's accession to the throne. (end) ak.sd
