G20 Sherpa officials meet in Riyadh

RIYADH, Dec 6 (KUNA) -- The official representatives of G20 Sherpa leaders came together in Riyadh on Friday for the first time under the kingdom's G20 Presidency.
The meeting was held under the rubric: "Realizing Opportunities of the 21st Century for All", the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Addressing the meeting, Fahad Al-Mubarak, the chairman of the gathering, said: the G20 has a responsibility to the world to overcome current and emerging issues, to tackle global challenges together, and to make the world a better place for all.
The event focused on empowering people, safeguarding the plnet and shaping new frontiers, the agency said.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host a series of Sherpa Meetings during its Presidency ahead of the Leadersآ’ Summit in Riyadh on 21-22 November 2020. (end) mdm.mt
