Kuwait's UN envoy hails Kuwaiti-US relations

NEW YORK, Dec. 5 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi has extolled the strong Kuwaiti-US relations, wishing it more flourishing in the future.
Ambassador Al-Otiabi also described bilateral relations as excellent in statements to KUNA on sidelines of his participation in a luncheon held by US President Donald Trump for permanent representatives of the UN Security Council member states at the White House on the occasion of the US taking over the rotating presidency of the UNSC for December.
He lauded the US Permanent Representative at the UNSC Kelly Craft and her cooperation with other fellow diplomats. "She came only three months ago and she's now presiding over the Council for the month of December. We wish her all the best," he said.
Al-Otaibi noted that he has conveyed to President Trump the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
He acclaimed the US effective role in defeating the terrorist so-called Islamic State group.
The Kuwaiti diplomat pointed out that the attendants have asked president Trump about the US plan for Middle East peace and the time of launching it. Al-Otaibi stressed that the US plan should comply with relevant UN resolutions. (end) asf.ibi
