Qatar: preparations complete for Gulf Cup 24

DOHA, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- The organizing committee for the 24th Gulf Cup announced Thursday completion of all arrangements for the tournament which will be hosted by Doha from November 26 to December 8.
Khaled Al-Kuwari, Director of Marketing in the organizing committee said during a press conference held at the Khalifa International Stadium that the special promotional campaign was launched a while ago, through launching the logo, and unveiling the official emblem for the tournament (Sidifi), in addition to organizing many events both inside and outside Qatar.
Al-Kuwari added that as part of the promotional campaign Sidifi made various visits inside Qatar, including many public places, schools and ministries, and later also visited Kuwait and Oman.
The Qatari official pointed out that the organizing committee is keen to provide all facilities to fans that will be following closely the tournament by facilitating access to two stadiums which will host the tournament, pointing out that the tickets for matches will enable fans to acquire the metro for free, coinciding with the opening of the metro line.
For his part, Director of Facilities from the organizing committee Jassem Al-Jassem confirmed the readiness of the two stadiums for the upcoming tournament, adding that the special arrangements for the fans have been completed in order to ensure their arrival to the stadiums and exit comfortably when the matches ends.
Al-Jassem added public transport is available and efficient in Qatar and the new Doha Metro represent the backbone of the country's new integrated transport system along with the bus network, which facilitates and accelerates movement of visitors to and from one destination to another. (end) nnd.mb
