WFEO activities kick off in Melbourne with Kuwaiti participation

KUALA LAMPUR, Nov 18 (KUNA) -- The World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) activities kicked off in Melbourne, Australia, on Monday until November 24 with the participation of the WFEO Vice President, Kuwaiti Engineer Zainab Al-Qarashi and 1,300 participants representing more than 70 countries.
Al-Qarashi, who is also the president of Engineers Without Borders - Kuwait, affirmed in a phone conversation with KUNA the importance of this international event for engineers and specialists from other professions in the process of sustainable development sought by Kuwait.
There are several activities of the WFEO, the most important sessions of the committees working in the Federation, including the Committee of Young Engineers, she added.
The Kuwaiti official said that the meetings of the federation and its committees represent an opportunity for specialists to take advantage to meet the requirements of development locally and contribute to the realization of Kuwait 2035 vision.
Zainab Al-Qarashi has been the Vice-President of the WFEO for eight years, where she established the Young Engineers Committee and has been recommended for its chairwomanship since its establishment during the General Assembly of the Union held in Geneva in 2012. (end) aab.aa
