ARABOSAI concludes 13th General Assembly in Qatar

DOHA, Nov 14 (KUNA) -- The Arab Organization for Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) concluded Thursday its 13th General Assembly issuing recommendations gearing towards more cooperation amongst Arab audit organizations.
The final statement also encouraged more auditing of development programs especially the ones dealing with enforcing reforms in line with International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) standards.
Speaking to KUNA on the event, head of Public Relations at Kuwait's State Audit Bureau (SAB) Abdullah Al-Sajari said that the bureau gained the chairmanship of the committee tasked with auditing the goals of sustainable development in the three upcoming years.
He revealed that ARABOSAI had approved, in its agenda, 15 training and scientific programs in the period between 2020 and 2022.
The Kuwaiti official also revealed that the organization had chosen SAB for the membership of its executive council alongside audit bureaus from Morocco, Lebanon, and Algeria.
ARABOSAI made adjustment into its statute, approved a report on its 2018-20, and assigned a committee to look into the organizations accounts in 2019, 2020, and 2021, during the course of the General Assembly, Al-Sajari affirmed.
The 60th meeting for ARABOSAI's Executive Council will be held in Qatar next March. (end) nnd.gta
