IDLO conf. elects Kuwait to membership of two cmtes.

ROME, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- The annual conference of the Assembly of Parties to the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) on Wednesday unanimously elected Kuwait's representatives to the membership of the standing committee, and the audit and finance committee.
Legal Counsellor Nawaf Abdullah Al-Mohammal was elected to the membership of the standing committee while Eman Abdul-Razzaq, director of the auditing department of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), was elected to a two-year term at the audit and finance committee.
The Rome-based IDLO is an intergovernmental organization founded in 1988 with the aim being to promote the culture of law and development.
The State of Kuwait joined the organization in 2009.
Its Assembly of Parties, the Organization's highest governing body, is made up of 37 member states.
The Assembly, held at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also elected Jan Beagle, of New Zealand, as new director-general of the Organization, replacing Irene Khan. (end) mn.gb
