CAIRO, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- The Arab League on Wednesday commended a ruling by the EU's top court stating that goods from Israeli settlements should be labeled as produced in an occupied territory.
The ruling reflects the EU's stern condemnation of "illegal Israeli settlements that derail any potential peace plan," said the Arab bloc's assistant secretary general for Palestinian affairs Saeed Abuali.
The European Court of Justice said labels must not indicate that goods produced in an occupied territory were made in Israel, a ruling the Arab league official urged all EU member states to embrace.
The EU considers any misinformation related to the purchase of goods produced in settlements as an "ethical breach." (end)
