Blast outside police station in Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- A suspected suicide bombing occurred outside a police station in the city of Medan north of Sumatra Island early on Wednesday.
A police spokesperson, in televised remarks monitored here, said a number of police officers were wounded in the blast that happened at a parking lot close to the police station.
The bomber, believed to be on a suicidal mission, died in the explosion, the spokesman said.
Forensic and security personnel are inspecting the scene. (end) aib.rk
