Kuwait hosts fair for productive Palestinian families

KUWAIT, Oct 15 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs Saad Al-Kharraz affirmed on Tuesday that the exhibition of productive Palestinian families that kicked off today was in line with the approach to attain sustainable development.
The minister was speaking during the inauguration ceremony of the fair, held on sidelines of the 73rd session of Arab social affairs ministers, hosted by Kuwait.
Al-Kharraz said the exhibition would was in line with the approach of attaining the first, eighth and tenth objectives of the sustainable development that partially call for eradicating poverty.
The Palestinian cause will remain the Arabs' top issue, he said, alluding to statements by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in this respect. "The world will not witness stability as long as the Palestinian cause remains unresolved," he added.
Meanwhile, Palestinian Minister of Social Development Ahmad Majdalani expressed in a statement at the ceremony gratitude to Kuwait and His Highness the Amir for holding the fair for encouraging the productive Palestinian families.
The fair, involving 26 families and sponsored by the Arab League, is designed to enable the Palestinian families promote their products.
"The Palestinian people will never forget support by Kuwait and its people for their cause since 1948 until today," he said, affirming the deep-rooted ties bonding the two countries. (end) mz.rk
